I like books that incorporate folk tales into real life, and this story of some elderly women and their power was a perfect channeling of the Slavic Baba Yaga. Post-modernism and confusion This book proved rather difficult for me to understand, probably because I did not enjoy its post-modern structure. So far so good. It reminded me of how elderly women exist pretty much in the absence of their men, and of men their own age in general, but mostly I found the story kind of boring.
